Recently, a 90-year-old woman from Thodupuzha had such a chance encounter with Mammootty and a video in which she recounts her meeting with the actor is going viral on the Internet.
Apparently, Mammootty was on his way to Toprankudy in Idukki when the granny spotted the actor. “He was in a posh car, along with a photographer. He saw me bending towards his car’s window. So, he opened the door and chatted up with me… His face is so gracious. I told him that I came all the way just to see him and he called me ‘midukki ammachi’ (smart granny)
“He asked me my age and about my kids. He also asked if I have any vision problems. Then he wanted to know if I can move about without the support of a walking stick. I replied that I can do everything and he said it’s indeed a blessing.”
