Kochi: A female actor from Aluva filed a complaint against actors Balachandra Menon and Jaffar Idukki accusing them of misbehaving with her. In her complaint, the woman alleged that Balachandra Menon forced her for group sex at a hotel room in 2007.

A few days ago, Balachandra Menon lodged a complaint with the DGP against the woman for raising false allegations against him. YouTube Channels that aired the woman's claims against Menon were booked under the IT Act over this complaint.

As per the FIR, the videos were deliberately propagated by the accused on September 27 with the intention to defame Menon and intimidate him. The case was registered under Sections 67 and 67 A of the IT Act.

In August, the same woman accused actors Mukesh, Jayasurya, Maniyanpilla Raju, Edavela Babu, Adv Chandrasekharan, production controllers Noby and Vichu of sexually abusing her. Police have registered a case against all seven after receiving a complaint from the actor. The Special Investigation Team that was formed to probe sexual assault allegations in the Malayalam film industry also recorded the woman's complaint.

Multiple FIRs have been registered against several high-profile Malayalam film personalities following allegations of sexual harassment against various directors and actors, sparked by revelations in the Justice K Hema Committee report. The recently released report sheds light on the exploitations and sexual assaults faced by women professionals in the film industry.
