Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Tuesday reported 11,776 fresh coronavirus cases and 32,027 recoveries from the infection.
Active cases dropped to 1,23,825. At least 4.6% of the total are in hospitals (5,622), including 950 new admissions.
Test Positivity Rate (TPR) on the day was 16.5% after 71,411 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
COVID toll in Kerala reached 62,681 after 20 recent deaths and 284 previously undocumented fatalities were made official by the health department on the day.
There are 2,52,101 persons in observation in the state, of whom 2,46,479 are in home/institutional quarantine.
Of the fresh cases, 10,866 contracted the virus through contact while the source of infection in 789 remains unknown and 92 healthcare workers were also infected on the day.
