Style statement: Smile is the key for newbie actress Sravana

Sravana

With her very first movie 'Thattumpurath Achuthan' starring Kunchacko Boban in the lead, actress Sravana has undoubtedly grabbed eyeballs, not just with her acting skills, but her innocent looks.

The signature

“I am a simple, fun-loving girl and would always greet everyone with a smile,” Sravana, says. Recalling her first experience on movie sets, she said, “When I first went on the sets of 'Thattumpurath Achuthan', all of the crew were in a jovial mood and I was enjoying the time. And our director (Lal Jose) would come and remind me of my character, Jayalakshmi. Unlike the real me, it was more serious and needed control on emotions. For me, my signature style is my smile itself,” she points.

Giving a hue

In the movie 'Thattumpurath Achuthan', the costume department was handled by Sameera Saneesh which focused to give a colourful feel. “In the movie, mostly bright coloured outfits were used like bright red, bright yellow and thus. As far as I am concerned, I too mostly prefer bright shades which goes well with my normal skin tone,” she states. However, her favourite choice goes for pink and black. “If you check my wardrobe, you will find that most of my dresses are pink,” she beams.

Sravana further reveals that she least follows brands. “I see the place or event that I have to be and dress accordingly. If it's an outing or shopping with friends, I opt casuals. If for functions, the 'nadan' look is adopted. And as such, I make sure that I keep a 'bindi' that goes with the dressing.”

Sravana recently gave her first photo shoot and she was provided with a saree. “I rarely I wear sarees. But this photo shoot was such a co-incident with my debut movie,” she tells Onmanorama. Being an ardent Krishna devotee in real life, Sravana's character in the Lal Jose movie too portrayed the same. “For the photo shoot, I was given a saree with the mural painting of Lord Krishna. The blueish shaded saree was yet another reason to be happy,” she admits.

The movie 'Thattumpurath Achuthan' which is running successfully in theaters across the state has featured an array of new faces. “Yes, new offers too are coming in but nothing has been finalized until now. I am glad that the movie is getting good response. Not just for me, the movie is special to my family too. My brother, Darshan too made his entry into the industry with this movie. He was the assistant cameraman to cinematographer Roby Varghese Raj,” she concludes.
