Avid quizzers to vie at MEC's Illuminati on Saturday

Thrikkakara:  The Government Model Engineering College has announced the new date for 'Illuminati Quiz' as August 24 at Bhavans Hall, T D Road, Kochi. It had planned to hold the 2019 edition of the popular quiz event on August 10 at Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Elemakkara, in Kochi but had to cancel due to bad weather.

This year's event was to be hosted by Major Chandrakant Nair who is known for lighthearted yet challenging quizzes. He had hosted eight previous editions of the Illuminati Quiz, which is touted to be a premier event in the South Indian quizzing circles and is the definitive season-opener in the region.

The event is conducted annually by the students of Model Engineering College in memory of the late Sandeep Menon, an alumnus of the institution and the founder of The Illuminati Quiz Club. A brilliant quizzer himself, Sandeep is fondly remembered by those that knew him best and the students of the college.

The event title is sponsored by ANSYS, an American firm that develops cutting-edge engineering simulation software.
