The double bell for love! Enjoy a romantic trip with KSRTC on this Valentine’s Day

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced special ‘Valentine Tours’ to some romantic destinations in the state on February 14, which is celebrated as Valentine’s Day around the world. According to authorities, a large number of people in Kerala love the KSRTC. Similarly, many people have met the love of their lives while travelling in KSRTC buses. So, it would be apt to arrange special trips on the day when love is celebrated, they said.

KSRTC’s Valentine Tours are arranged by the budget tourism cell of the public carrier and ticket rates are low. “Various depots will be conducting the tours and tickets can be booked in advance at the respective depots,” said KSRTC’s chief traffic officer Jacob Sam Lopez.

The packages are:

Koothattukulam – Munroe Thuruthu

Neyyattinkara – Kumarakom

City Tour, Thiruvananthapuram

Kilimanoor – Gavi

Mavelikkara – Gavi

Alappuzha – Gavi

Kozhikode - Nelliyampathy

Tour from Neyyattinkara

The Neyyattinkara depot will be conducting its special tour on Valentine’s Day covering Alappuzha, Pathiramanal and Kumarakom. Forty-five seats are available for booking on a first-come first-served basis and the fare is Rs 1,000 per person. The trip will start from Neyyattinkara early on February 14 and return the same night.

Backwater cruise

Another Valentine’s Day special tour is a backwater cruise on ‘Vega’ boat of the State Water Transport Department. The trip will begin from Alappuzha and take the Punnamada – Vembanad Lake – Muhamma – Pathiramanal – Kumarakom – R Block – Marthandam – Chithira – C Block – Kuppappuram route and return to Alappuzha.
