Thrissur: A man was killed by his elder brother following a drunken quarrel on Wednesday in Kannankuzhi, Athirappilly . The deceased, Satyan, was attacked by Chandramani.
The duo, along with their family, had gone into the forest to collect wild produce. Amidst harvesting koova (arrowroot), the brothers engaged in a heated argument, police said. Preliminary investigations suggest that family disputes led to the argument and the subsequent murder. The forest department detained Chandramani and handed him over to the Athirappilly police. After completing an inquest, the body will be sent to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.
