Alappuzha: Twenty-two people, including 8 school students, were injured in an accident when a private bus collided with a lorry in Kalarcode, Cherthala, around 4.30 pm on Wednesday.
The bus crashed into the lorry while attempting to avoid a motorcycle rider, sources said. All 22 injured individuals are currently under treatment in Taluk Hospital.
This comes just weeks after five first-year MBBS students from TD Medical College, Vandanam, lost their lives when their car collided with a KSRTC Fast Passenger bus at Kalarkode-Changanassery Junction.
