Pathanamthitta: In a suspected case of murder, a youth was mowed down by a speeding car at Ranni's Manthamaruthi here on Sunday. The deceased, identified as Ambadi Suresh(24), a native of Chenthokkara and a pineapple seller, is believed to have been deliberately targeted.
Three men - Aravind, Sreekuttan and Ajoy - who had earlier quarrelled with Ambadi over parking in front of a beverage outlet are suspected of plotting the accident. The suspects who moved to a hideout after the accident were nabbed from Ernakulam on Monday noon. Police confirmed that Aravind was behind the wheel at the time of the incident.
According to Manorama News, Ambadi was involved in multiple heated arguments with the three-member gang on Sunday. The car drove by Aravind knocked down Ambadi when he got off from his car infront of a hospital at Mannamaruthy.
