Two children of a Malayali couple drowned after a boat capsized at Khasab in Oman Saturday afternoon.
The deceased are Hamiz (four) and Haizam (seven). Their parents, Vallil Vadakkethodukayil Lukhmanul Hakeem and Muhsina, sustained minor injuries in the accident.
Khasab is a tourist destination and Hakeem worked in a tourism agency there.
The family hails from Pullaloor near Narikuni in Kozhikode. Hakeem's uncle T Ashraf said the family had planned to fly home on Monday for vacation.
Ashraf said the funeral will be held in Khasab because of difficulty in getting the paperwork done in time due to the holidays in view of Eid.
