Palakkad: One more person was arrested in connection with the November 15 murder of RSS leader S Sanjith at Mambaram in Kinassery of Palakkad district.
Identifying the accused as Shajahan, 37, of Kollengode, police said Puliyanthony Naseer had procured the weapons used in the crime from him. Naseer and four others were earlier arrested, and police have issued a lookout circular for four others on the run.
The circular was issued against Muhammed Haroon of Athokkode Palli Street, Kozhinjampara, Noufal of Fathima Manzil, Cheekkode, Alathur, Ibrahim Pulivetting Mohammad (Ibrahim Moulavi) of Arppo in Malappuram's Wandoor and Shamsheer of Kanjiramchola, Ottappalam.
Police said the missing four were involved in the conspiracy for committing the murder, besides helping the alleged murderers. Ibrahim, police said, had been working in a place of worship.
Police have requested the people to contact the nearest police station or Palakkad Town South Police Station if they have any information about the absconding four.
Sanjith was murdered by a five-member gang in front of his wife.
