Aluva: A young man and a woman were found dead at an apartment in Thottakkattukara near Aluva in Kerala's Ernakulam district.
They have been identified as Ramesh (33) of Vadakkencherry in Palakkad and Monisha (25). Monisha is the wife of Thrissur native Satheesh.
The decomposed bodies, found one on top of the other, were suspected to be four days old.
They were found from a flat in the three-storied apartment located at Akatt Lane.
After foul smell emanated from the flat, nearby residents informed the apartment owner and the dead bodies were found. The doors and windows were not locked from inside.
Bloodstains were also found on the wall at a height of 2 ft from the ground.
The apartment is owned by Thottakkattukara native Ikbal.
Satheesh, husband of Monisha and Ramesh had taken the ground and top floor of the apartment on rent. They had reportedly claimed they planned to carry out film-editing works in the name of IMA Digital Studio.
The cops have retrieved the camera and mobile phones of the dead duo.
Ramesh, a bachelor, had earlier worked as a mobile technician in Aluva.
Monisha, who has two children, had been staying at the apartment for some time.
