Thunderstorm warning issued in 8 districts in Kerala
Winds of 35 to 45 km speed and touching 55 kmph at times will strike Kerala and Lakshadweep coasts from the westerly direction.

Thiruvananthapuram: A thunderstorm alert has been sounded in eight districts of the state. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Ernakulam, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad will witness heavy rains accompanied by lightning and strong winds, says the weather forecast for three hours from 4 pm on Monday.

Winds of 35 to 45 km speed and touching 55 kmph at times will strike Kerala and Lakshadweep coasts from the westerly direction. The sea on the west of Lakshadweep will be turbulent or severely turbulent.

Fishermen have been warned not to venture into the sea on the western side of Lakshadweep. Moreover, fishermen engaged in their activities on the eastern side of Lakshadweep and off the Kerala coast should remain vigilant. This alert is in force for 24 hours from 2 pm on Monday.
