Kannur: Amid reports that a teenager had killed himself after reportedly taking up the Blue Whale Challenge, it is suspected that there could be more victims of the deadly game in Kerala.

An ITI student, Sawant, who committed suicide in Kannur last May, reportedly used to play the deadly game, his mother has said. Pictures of Sawant with injuries to the arms and chest were handed over to Manorama News by his family. The hapless family had believed that Sawant inflicted injuries on himself as he was not mentally stable.

Sawant spent almost the entire night playing games on the phone. He also reportedly went out alone in the night. As it was difficult to frequently check on him, his mother made him sleep next to her.

Once he went missing, the family found him at a bridge near Thalassery. The family, which noticed his unusual behavior, took him for counseling, but to no avail.

The hapless family had believed that Sawant inflicted injuries on himself as he was not mentally stable.

His family came forward with their traumatic experience after media reported the death of Thiruvananthapuram native Manoj.
