Kochi: A young woman, who had raised sexual allegations against director Jean Paul Lal, has reportedly withdrawn her police complaint.
In her affidavit submitted at the district court, the actress said the issue had been sorted out through dialog. The development comes even as the court was to consider Jean Paul's anticipatory bail plea.
The woman had complained that she did not get remuneration for acting in Jean Paul's Honey Bee 2 and that the makers made lewd comments when she went to ask for it. The woman had also alleged that the filmmakers used her body double in the movie without her permission.
The case was registered against Jean Paul Lal, son of veteran actor Lal, and new generation actor Sreenath Bhasi and two other members of the crew. The four were booked under IPC sections 354(A) (making sexually colored remarks), 420 (cheating).
