Bangalore: Kristu Jayanti College here hosted its first ever gospel fest – 'Lumen Fidei' on January 16.
Organised by the Jayantian Catholic Association, Lumen Fidei was inaugurated by Prof. Mariamma A Varghese.
Prof. Mariamma A Varghese was the ex Vice Chancellor of SNDT Women's University and was also a part of NAAC, from 2001- 2008 .
Like any gospel fest, all the events had a main theme 'The Joy Of Giving'.
Events like 'Song of Songs' , 'Voice in the Wilderness', 'Gospel Act' , 'Trumpets of Joy' and 'Reuel', captured the attention of the audience. 'Clues to Salvation', 'Sistine Mural', 'Gifted Composition' and 'Biblos' were the other events.
"This fest has been a dream for long and now it has come true. I am glad to have been able to head this fest along with my co coordinator Mr. Emin Pious. It was a beautiful experience and I believe we have set a platform for students to showcase their knowledge and skills, not only in the field of academics or curriculum but that of faith." said sixth sem BA student Alisha James, Lumen Fidei student coordinator
Colleges from all over Bangalore, participated and won in various events.
St. Joseph's College bagged the overalls while St. Claret College bagged the runners up trophy.
