Tranquil amid city's bustle, this Angamali house is exemplary
The elegant house has an area of 4110 sq ft.

Tessy Jose, a native of Angamaly, longed for a cozy home near the town, where she could enjoy a calm and comfortable life. However, many wondered whether she could achieve this as the 40 cents plot, owned by her, was near the MC Road, one of the busiest roads in Angamaly.

Proving them wrong, an elegant house which has an area of 4110 sq ft, was built here within a few months. The house, named Bethel, is a haven of peace and tranquility, right in the center of the busy Angamaly town.

The plot is a few feet above the level of the road and the house is designed in such a way that the bustle of city never affects it.

The driveway between the gate and the car porch is paved with interlocked bricks. Landscaping plays a major role in making this home look more beautiful and closer to nature. The meadows and the garden add to the charm of the spacious front courtyard.

The gazebo in the garden is one of the attractive features. The boundary wall is quite high and it helps prevent the sound from the road to get inside. The uniquely designed spaces are wisely utilized as well.

Roofing tiles are paved on the sloped roof. Neutral colors dominate the interiors and the exteriors of the house. The spaces are mainly divided into private, semi private and public. Long corridors connect these spaces. This house has formal and family living spaces, dining area, kitchen, 5 bedrooms, courtyard and a home theater.

The open spaces and huge windows let in lots of natural light and fresh air, and also provide stunning views of the beautiful garden. The Italian marble paved on the floor adds a regal touch to the interiors. Granites and wooden flooring too are used on the floor at some places.

It is the courtyards which make this house lively and vibrant. These spaces play a prominent role in pushing out the warm air and ensure good ventilation. The formal living area and the corridors are arranged around a courtyard in the front. Paved with white stones and decorated with lush green plants and bushes, this courtyard truly is a special place. There is another courtyard in the backside of the house. The wall here is highlighted by cladding it with red stone.

Beautiful paintings and rare curios adorn the walls indoors. Lights in warm tones add a pleasant charm to the dining area. The design of the dining table is simple and equally elegant.

The unique construction of the bedrooms ensures enough privacy. Importance is given to storage as well. Wall to ceiling wardrobes are arranged in all the rooms. Sitting spaces near the windows are a beautiful addition. A mirror, as wide as the bed, is fixed on the opposite wall and this is an interesting feature here.

The kitchen is built in white glossy laminate finish. Nano white is paved on the counter top. A small breakfast counter completes the kitchen.

The spot lights which are switched on at night illuminate the house and further enhance its elegance.
