Eggs are always the favorites of bachelor kitchens. The ease of cooking, variety of recipes and the nutritional benefits ensure that eggs won't be phased out of the kitchens ever. Along with hard boiling and frying, steaming is also a popular method to cook eggs. The Chinese steamed eggs are known for their smooth texture and fresh aroma.

There are several methods for steaming eggs, the one used here is hot water bath. You can add chopped vegetables, bell peppers and parsley into the eggs if you want to make them a bit more fancy.

Ingredients
2 eggs
1 cup water
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil

Preparation
Beat the eggs well
Add water to it and beat again
Strain it through a sieve
Boil water in a large vessel
Place the egg mixture in a smaller bowl within the vessel
Be careful not to let the water into the egg mixture
Cover the bowl with a lid
Keep the larger vessel also covered
and steam for 3 minutes
Turn off the stove and keep the vessel covered for another 15 minutes
Take the bowl out and top the eggs with soy sauce and sesame oil
Serve hot
