“Our love didn't blossom through eyes but through voices," said singer Vaikom Vijaylakshmi and artiste Anoop when asked about how they fell for each other.
The newly wedded couple were the guest for Mazhavil Manorama's 'Thakarppan Comedy' show and won hearts with their lively answers.
“Was it a love marriage,” asked the host and Vijayalakshmi said, “Yes, how can one get married without love.”
When asked which was the special gift the duo gave each other, Anoop recalled an incident for the audience present at the show. He said, “Usually, a wife would demand big things from her husband. She asked for a toy fromme. We were for a programme at a temple and Viji (Vijayalakshmi) asked me to get her a toy whistle (pipi). She is someone who finds music in every little thing. That day she wanted to play some music on that.”
A mimicry artiste, Anoop also mimicked late actor Prem Nazir and his spouse on stage. Meanwhile, Vijayalakshmi sang a couple of songs and entertained the audience. The duo's dialogues and repartees won applauds. The mentors of the show, actors Bheeman Raghu and Bala, termed them 'perfect find for each other'.
