Recently, Telugu Megastar and former Minister of Culture and Tourism of India, Chiranjeevi visited Guruvayoor. He was flown from Kochi on a chopper to Sabarimala and then conducted a Guruvayoor darshan in the evening. He graciously took pictures with his fans. As he posed in front of the statue of Gajarathnam Guruvayoor Padmanabhan, he was also curious to know about the majestic elephant's story. This is his second visit to the temple and had previously been here during his tenure as the Central Minister.

He was welcomed warmly by Devaswom Administrator KP Vinayan and Manager K Binu at the Sreevathsam Guest House.

At around 4:45 pm, he offered prayers at the temple. He was accompanied by his wife K Surekha, Suresh Chakkapalli, Madhumathi, and Gopikrishna Padibandha. Arrangements were inside the temple for a comfortable darshan by Ooralan Mallisheri Parameshwaran Namboothiripad and Deputy Administrator P Manoj Kumar. The helicopter landed at Pavarati Panchayath’s Chukkubazar ground and they were later taken on a car to the temple. Here was a brief conversation he had with Manorama soon after the darshan.

If you get an offer, will you act in Malayalam cinema?

I don’t even get that question. There are such great rational stories made in Malayalam. I wouldn’t think twice before saying yes to an offer from Malayalam.

Are you aware that Ram Charan and Allu Arjun have so many fans in Kerala?

Of course. Malayalees are very generous that way in showing their love to people across languages. (Ram Charan is Chiranjeevi’s son and Allu Arjun is his relative).

About the facilities provided by the pilgrimage centers in Kerala.

I am really impressed by the basic infrastructure development in Kerala. Besides this state has always given the utmost importance to pilgrimage centers.

What’s your take on UP Chief Minister’s comment about Kerala?

Let’s not talk politics right now. (laughs)

Any message to your fans in Kerala?

What? Do I have fans in Kerala? I am delighted. Here’s wishing all my fans and people of Kerala prosperity and good health.
