The sudden demise of Kalpana on Monday has shocked not only Malayalees across the world, but also the entire film fraternity.
Talking to Onmanorama from Hyderabad, director Sibi malayil said, “Kalpana was at Hyderabad for the shooting of two movies in Tamil and Telugu. We still have no clue what exactly happened and we hope the reason comes out soon.”

Further adding, the veteran director said, “It is indeed shocking. We can hardly take it.I knew her quite well. She was someone who made sure to bring out her best in whatever role she was assigned. The death news is really a sad one.”
