She explained, “The last time I performed, I rehearsed and performed with the children. I bought my own ticket from Dubai and performed without expecting any payment. The arts festival is a dream platform for artists, and I was filled with joy when I was there. It was a fulfilling experience to work with the younger generation."

Asha continued, “I have no idea why anyone would assume that I asked for any payment. I accepted the invitation to the school festival with pride and joy. I made the decision not to ask for any payment myself. When they asked if I had any demands, I said no, and that I would come and do it on my own."
Concluding, she added, "Getting paid is a personal decision and perspective for everyone. When artists perform at government events other than the arts festival, they are offered a proper fee."
