Filmmaker B Unnikrishnan remembers actor Kottayam Pradeep who passed away on Thursday. He says he had enjoyed Pradeep’s combination scenes with screen icon Mohanlal in the movie ‘Aaraattu’ that is slated to hit the screens on 18 February.
“I cannot believe the news of Pradeep’s demise. He had called me two days back to enquire about the release of ‘Aaraattu’. He had even sent me a promotional video related to the GCC release. However, I was shocked to hear the sad news this morning. The combination scenes of Pradeep and Lal sir in ‘Neyyattinkara Gopante Aaraattu’ were incredible. In the movie, Pradeep’s character says about another person, ‘He was a talented artist’. Pradeep too was a talented artist who was extremely affable and a music lover. Nedumudi Venu, my chief associate Jayan and now Pradeep, who had been with us in ‘Aaraattu’, had left us. May your soul rest in peace!”
Actor Pradeep KR, who is more popularly known by the name Kottayam Pradeep, died following a heart attack on Thursday morning. ‘Aaraattu’ is also the last movie in which Pradeep had acted.
