Bhavana stuns in '99', remake of Trisha-Vijay Sethupathi starrer '96'

The official trailer of Bhavana- Ganesh starrer '99' has been released on YouTube.

If reports are to be believed, the remake will not be an exact replica of the original Tamil movie '96' directed by C Prem Kumar.

Vijay Sethupathi-Trisha starrer '96' was one of the major hits of 2018.

Since the announcement of it's Kannada remake helmed by Preetham Gubbi featuring Golden Star Ganesh and Bhavana in the lead roles, fans had set their expectations high.

While some have been euphoric about the trailer, some film buffs are of the the opinion that the Tamil version is better.

Bhavana had earlier worked with Ganesh in the 2012 movie 'Romeo'. Bhavana was impressed after watching 96, according to reports.

Actors Samiksha and Hemanth will play the younger roles of Bhavana and Ganesh.

In Tamil, the roles were played by Gouri G Kishan and Adithya Bhaskar.

Produced by Ramu Enterprises, the movie is slated to release on May 2.
