Kollam: A 35-year-old doctor was found dead at his home at Kadappakada in Kollam.

The deceased was Dr Anoop Krishna, the owner of a private hospital. He was found hanging from the fan with his wrists slit on Thursday afternoon.

The police suspect it to be a case of suicide. The word 'Sorry' was written in blood on the wall of the bathroom.

A case of unnatural death has been filed. After post-mortem at the district hospital, the body was handed over to the relatives. The funeral will be held on Friday.

A seven-year-old girl, who underwent a surgery at Anoop's hospital, had died of heart attack on September 23. Though the child was moved to another hospital, her life could not be saved.

The child’s relatives had filed a police complaint, alleging medical negligence.

Though attempts were made to stage a protest in front of the hospital with the child’s body, the police removed the agitators.

Even as the police were probing that incident, the doctor was found dead. Anoop had been tense as allegations were raised against him and his family on social media for a week, his friends said.

He is survived by wife Dr Archana Biju and a seven-year-old son.
