Kottayam: Saintgits Design School recently organized a three-week bamboo product design workshop titled “Bambusa Vista” for fourth-semester students as part of their craft design course in May 2024. The workshop was led by Rajeev Wind, one of India’s top bamboo artisans.

During the workshop, students created eco-friendly products using bamboo materials, which are often discarded. The culmination of their efforts was showcased at an exhibition held on May 17. The exhibition, also named Bambusa Vista, displayed a wide variety of minimalistic and creative products, including mini chair models, visiting card holders, watch holders, mobile phone amplifiers, bookstands, and elegant wall clocks.

Saintgits Design School aims to foster innovative ideas among students by organizing such workshops and creative programs regularly. These initiatives provide students with hands-on experience and encourage sustainable design practices.
