CBSE Class 12 results 2024 declared, 87.98% pass percentage; 24k students score above 95%

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 12 results 2024 were announced on Monday, May 13. This year's pass percentage is 87.98, up by 0.65 percentage points compared to 2023. Over 24,068 candidates scored above 95 per cent, while 1,16,145 lakh students secured 90 per cent marks, the Board announced.

Officials said 91.52 per cent girls cleared the exam, 6.40 percentage points higher than boys' pass percentage. More than 1.22 lakh candidates have been placed in 'compartment'. The number this year is slightly less than that of last year, the officials said.

This year, more than 16.21 lakh candidates appeared for the exam which was conducted at 7,126 centres from February 15 to April 2, including students from abroad.

To check the result, students need to provide their roll and school numbers, and admit card ID. Besides the official CBSE website, results can also be obtained via SMS, IVRS and DigiLocker.

Once the results are declared, students can find them on results.cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in. Additionally, they can check their results on DigiLocker and UMANG apps by providing their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth.

How to get the results:

  • Visit the official CBSE website (results.cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in)
  • Click on the 'Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) Results 2024' links (There are 3 links available. Use whichever you can access first)   
  • Enter your  Roll Number, School No and Admit Card ID and click submit.
  • The Class 12 results will now be displayed.
  • Review the result and download the page or take a screenshot for your record.
