Kolathur: If you were to watch Shafeeque Master teaching, you would probably wonder whether it is a music class or a drama class. Singing and keeping beats to the rhythm, Shafeeque Master's class is making waves on social media.
Shafeeque of the Kuruva AUP School has won the hearts of his students with his unique method of teaching. All of his students would be fully engrossed in the class by singing along and swaying to the rhythm. From the Thullal Pattu in the Malayalam lesson to the mathematical formula for finding out the perimeter and area, everything is taught in this rhythmic manner.
"Teaching like this helps students to recollect the lessons quickly. Not only that, we can also better connect with them," Shafeeque said.
After experimenting with this method of teaching, all the students scored well in this year's Onam exam. Other schools are also inviting Shafeeque to their campus as a guest. "I have been fortunate enough to inaugurate the Vidyarangam Kala Sahitya Vedi at many schools this year," Shafeeque said.
He has also been part of other 100-odd events for students in various parts of the district. Earlier, he was noted for his efforts ato make sweets to provide online learning facilities for students from limited backgrounds. He has been a teacher at the school for more than six years. E K Safa Rasma is his wife, while Shimas Aysal is their daughter.
