Pambadi: Twin siblings Lenas and Lena wrote their higher secondary Plus-Two examination holding back their tears, soon after their mother died. Their younger brother Len, meanwhile, sat for Wednesday's Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination paper after a final kiss to his mother.
The funeral services for Manjusha Titus (39) began only after Len returned home after the examination by noon. The funeral was held at the cemetery of Assemblies of God Church at Ilakkodinji thereafter.
The children’s father T P Titus can only be a silent witness to all these and remain in the wheelchair. Titus is yet to recover fully after he fractured both his legs and hands in a bike accident at Vadavathoor on the outskirts of Kottayam town 2 years ago.
Manjusha, who was suffering from cancer and was undergoing treatment, breathed her last on Sunday night. Len, her younger son, is a Class-10 student at St Thomas High School, South Pambadi, here. He wrote the second SSLC paper on Monday.
Manjusha’s body was brought home only on Tuesday evening so the twin siblings Lenas and Lena could appear for their Plus-Two exams on Tuesday.
Lenas and Lena are students of PVS Government Higher Secondary School.
