Over 8 lakh students to appear in Higher Secondary exams today

Thiruvananthapuram: Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary exams in the state will begin from 9:30 am on Friday.

As many as 4,25,361 students will appear for Plus One exams and 4,42,067 for Plus Two. A number of 28,820 students is expected to appear for VHS First Year exams and 30,740 for VHS Second Year.

There will be 2,023 examination centres for Higher Secondary Course this time, said Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty.

The HSC evaluation camps are scheduled from April 3 to the first week of May. In total, 25,000 teachers will check the answer scripts for HSC exams at 80 evaluation camps across the state.

Officials said drinking water has been made available in the exam halls at all centres.
