The Indian Council for Agriculture Research (ICAR) will conduct the online counselling as per the rank list prepared on the basis of the entrance conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the 2022 admission to the bachelor programs of various agriculture universities, including in Kerala.

Total Seats
There are 4,189 seats for the students to secure admission. The division is as follows: Agriculture (2266), Horticulture (596), Forestry (188), Fisheries (153), Community Science (203), Sericulture (15), B Tech Agri Engineering (356), B Tech Dairy Tech (112), B Tech Food Tech (115), B Tech Biotech (165), Nutrition and Dietetics (20). Various reservation seats are included in this.
Choice Filling
One choice consists of one course and one university. One can submit as many choices in their order of preference. There is no limit to this. A candidate can make as many changes as he/she wants till the deadline for choice filling expires. The choices locked and submitted initially will be used in the four regular rounds. They cannot be changed in between. Those who secure zero or negative marks in the exam will not be included in the counselling process. The allotment through counselling will be to the university. The university will decide on the college to be given admission to.
If a candidate needs to be considered for a higher choice than the allotted seat in the next phase, he/she should upgrade it. There is no up-gradation to the mop-up round. A new choice filling has to be done.
Those who haven’t registered in the first round can remit fees and register for the mop-up round.
A candidate need not be physically present at the college, irrespective of the ICAR counselling round. They can check the documents and ensure their correctness online. The other novelty this time is the remittance of the seat acceptance fee (Rs 10,000), which is part of the admission fee.
Those who get admission outside Kerala will get Rs 3,000 as National Talent Scholarship every month.
