Jodhpur IIT and AIIMS offer joint programmes; here's how to apply

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Jodhpur, Rajasthan, offer three joint academic programmes. They are: Masters in Medical Technologies, Masters– PhD double degree and PhD.

The online applications for admission to the July session could be submitted until 17 May along with a fee of Rs 1,000. The fee for Scheduled Caste/Tribe applicants and persons with disabilities is only Rs 500.

Eligibility
Masters/Masters– PhD: The applicants should have passed MBBS/BDS degrees with at least 55% marks. The cut-off is 50% for Scheduled Caste/Tribe candidates and persons with disabilities.

Candidates with 60% marks in Engineering, Science, Pharmacy and a four-year Nursing degree too can apply.

Scheduled Caste/Tribe candidates and differently abled persons need 55% marks. An equivalent grade point average too would be considered.

PhD: Candidates who have passed MS/MD/DNB after completing a bachelor’s degree with at least 55% marks are eligible. The cut-off is 50% for Scheduled Caste/Tribe candidates and persons with disabilities.

Those who have Masters’ in Engineering, science subjects, Pharmacy and Nursing with 60% marks can apply. Besides, candidates who have completed bachelors and masters degrees with at least 60% marks in one of Dental/Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy courses too are eligible to apply.

Instead of 60% marks 6/10 grade point average too would be considered. Scheduled Caste/Tribe candidates and persons with disabilities need 55%.

The candidates who secure admission in PhD courses should not register for other courses. More information is available on the website.
