Kalamassery: The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has published the results of the Common Admission Test (CAT 2021).
In the BTech entrance exam, Thiruvananthapuram native J R Vignesh bagged the first rank (647 marks out of 750). Fayiz Hashim (644) of Wadakkanchery in Thrissur and Siddarth S Kumar (581) of Konni in Pathanamthitta secured the second and third ranks, respectively.
In the integrated MSc programme, Vignesh and Siddarth secured the first and second ranks, respectively, and S Sonal of Malappuram got the third rank.
In the SC/ST category, Thiruvananthapuram native V Gayathri secured the first rank for both programmes.

A total of 1,002 seats are available for B Tech.
Vice-chancellor K N Madusoodanan disclosed that the University has got permission from the AICTE to add 30 engineering seats and 15 MCA seats.
