Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala University of Health Sciences has ditched their move to conduct exams amid surging number of COVID-19 infections in the state.

All examinations, except the final year exams, have been postponed to June by by the University Governing Council on Wednesday giving solace to the students and teachers.

The University's move to conduct exams for BSc Nursing in the first week of May had invited protests from students and parents.

The University had decided to go ahead with the schedule claiming the students and teachers had received both doses of COVID-19 vaccine. However, the students of many private colleges were yet to receive the shots. Following this, it was decided to change the exams.
