Kozhikode Medical College wins Manorama Chief Editor’s Trophy for best magazine

Kottayam: The Kozhikode Medical College has won the Malayala Manorama Chief Editor's Trophy for the best college magazine in Kerala.

'Oru Durantha Athmavinte Pattu Pushthakam' (A desperate soul's debt ledger) is the name of the award-winning magazine. Student editor would get Rs 50,001 and the college would get a statuette.

The second prize was secured by the Sabeelul Hidaya Islamic College at Parappur in Malappuram for its magazine 'Oru Karayum Mattanekam Karakalum Thammil' (Between a shore and other shores). The second prize carries a cash prize of Rs 30,001.

The Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University at Tirur won the third prize (Rs 20,001) for its magazine '05/08/2019'.

The magazine 'Ochu' (Snail) of the Jubilee Mission Medical College in Thrissur won the prize (Rs 10,001) for the best layout.

The winners were picked by a jury, comprising writer Francis Nerona, script writer Bipin Chandran and Malayala Manorama Editorial Director Mathews Varghese. The award distribution would be held later.
