If caught in the deluge, the mobile phone could be your lifeline. Power outages can seriously hamper your chances of safe rescue if your phone battery gives away. Apart from the power banks and laptops, you can also make your own little emergency power bank at home with batteries.
Process
1. Remove the insulation at the tip of the phone's USB cable
2. There will be four different wires in different colours. Choose the black and red wires and remove their insulation too.
3. Secure three 1.5 volt batteries, the ones we use in clocks and remote controls.
4. Place the batteries one on top of the other (positive end to negative) and stick them together with an adhesive tape. Ensure their nodes complete the circuit.
5. Then connect the red tip of the USB cable to the top of the battery block (to the positive side) and the black at the bottom (negative end).
One can charge a mobile phone up to 20 per cent in just ten minutes with this life hack.
In case of an emergency this hack will save you for at least 4 days.
