Tamil film industry mourns death of music composer Praveen Kumar

Music composer Praveen Kumar who is best known for his work in films like 'Methagu' passed away in Chennai. He was 28. The young musician's death has shocked the Tamil film industry with many condoling his death.
Praveen was reportedly undergoing treatment for kidney-related issues for some time now. He began his career as a keyboard player and later went on to compose music for films like 'Raakadhan', 'Kakkan', 'Raayar Parambarai' and 'Bumper'. His music in 'Methagu' starring Lizzie Antony, Eshwar Basha and Chandrasekar in lead roles, brought him fame. Many celebrities condoled the musician's death.

Meanwhile, Tamil film industry lost another legend with the death of renowned singer Uma Ramanan. The singer was 72. Uma Ramanan had collaborated with music maestro Ilaiyaraja in many songs and had also appeared in 6,000 concerts in a career spanning 35 years.
