The naming of the lions – a five-year-old male and six-year-old female- was done by Minister J Chinchurani.
Visitors can check out the lions in the zoo's open cage.
The zoo now has a pair of the world's second tallest birds too.
Also known as the Northern plains gray langur, the animals are now part of the zoo.
One of the langurs made 'headlines' for its escape attempt after reaching the zoo.
A pair of white peacocks and wild fowl have also been added to the list of new birds in the zoo.
