A high-tech train is all set to make the Jammu and Kashmir travel special soon. The much-awaited Katra - Srinagar Vande Bharat, which will be rolled out soon, has world-class amenities as part of it to suit the extreme climate in its route. In a recently shared video by railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, one can see that the train has features that make travel extremely comfortable for commuters. The train passes through the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra station, Reasi, Banihal, Qazigund, Anantnag and Srinagar stations, as per reports, and it is part of the Jammu - Baramulla line.

Here are a few of its special features:
1) Silicon heating pads in water tanks and bio-toilet tanks. A warm air supply will also be ensured.
2) Heated plumbing pipelines to prevent water from freezing
3) Triple-layer windshields on its driver's cabin that automatically defrost to ensure clear visibility in harsh winter.
4) Heated filament, which works even under snow to prevent ice or frost from accumulating on glass.
5) Heaters inside washrooms

7) Air-brake system that works smoothly in sub-zero temperatures

Train commuters not impressed
As always, the railway minister's post was flooded with numerous complaints about regular trains, the common man's mode of transport. A few people also shared photos from the Chennai - Mysuru Vande Bharat showing how the train is not clean and there are no attendees or support staff. "Please sort out tatkal reservation issues, normal person with regular wifi should be able to make reservations using tatkal, not just agents. Every day at 11 am, the website doesn't fail to crash. The overall website user experience needs to evolve big time," said Rohan Salvekar, a follower on X.  Some followers have dubbed Ashwini Vaishnaw as the 'Reel Mantri,' suggesting that his focus is more on sharing social media reels than delivering tangible outcomes for the common man.
