Kochi: Venad Express that stops at Ernakulam North railway station without entering the Ernakulam South (Junction) station as platform renovation works are being progressed here hardly arrives on time. Passengers, especially office workers who get down at the North station and then travel to Thevara and west Kochi sides, struggle to reach their destinations without getting late. Passengers often have to wait more than half an hour at the bus stop to catch the bus to MG Road via Padma.
Besides, they must rely on metro trains to travel to Thevara if they get down at Tripunithura.
However, after getting down at Ernakulam South or Maharajas College metro stations, they again had to catch a bus to travel to Kochi. Meanwhile, Venad, supposed to reach Ernakulam Town station at 9.50 am, is late most days and only past 10 am.
