After the much-anticipated Air Kerala, another airline company too may take wings from Kerala. According to Manorama Online, the Al Hind Group, based in Kerala, aims to launch an airline company that operates services to the Gulf sector. Al Hind Group is a pioneer in the travel and tourism business offering services in airline ticket booking, tour operating, chartering flights, hotel room booking and visa services. The company’s promoter Mohammad Harris recently told the media that their experience in the airline ticket booking field and a strong foundation of customer support have inspired him to launch the airline company. Moreover, the company enjoys a fabulous network of Hajj pilgrims who are their regular customers.

The proposed airline company has received 95 per cent approval from the authorities including the security clearance. It is now waiting just for the final approvals including the No Objection Certificate from the Ministry of Civil Aviation. The flight services could be started once the company receives the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Besides the Gulf sector, Al Hind group aims to operate flight services to Southeast Asian countries like Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.
