Kannur: The Southern Railway has allotted one-minute temporary stoppage for Express trains at Chandera Station in Kasaragod district in connection with a popular festival at Muchilottu Bhagavathy Temple at Karivellur.
The Express trains that will stop at Chandera from February 8 to 11 are Mangaluru Central - Kozhikode Express (16610) and Mangaluru Central Coimbatore Express (16324). Train No. 16610 will arrive at Chandera at 6.48 am and rain no. 16324 is scheduled to arrive at 10.44 am, the railways informed.
The temple situated at Chandera will host the famous 'Perumkaliyattom' (Theyyam) ritual in the second week of next month after a gap of 22 years.
