The United Arab Emirates has issued new guidelines for the photographs in new visas, visa renewal and for Emirates ID applications.
As per the new specifications, the photograph sized 35 x 40 millimetres, taken with a white background within 6 months will be accepted. The facial expression must be natural and the face must be upright. The eyes must be open completely and coloured lenses must not be used in the eyes. Spectacles can be used if eyes and iris can be seen clearly through them and they do not reflect lights.
