Kochi: Kerala has decided to resume bus services to Tamil Nadu from Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has planned to restart services to Kollur in Karnataka, where the famous Sri Mookambika Temple is situated.
The Tamil Nadu government had on Tuesday granted permission to Kerala for operating long-distance services, including private and KSRTC buses.
The lifting of curbs comes in light of the drop in COVID-19 cases in Kerala. The active case of coronavirus in Kerala has been showing a downward trend recently. There are 43,663 active cases in the state as of Tuesday.
Tamil Nadu had earlier lifted restrictions on buses from Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka as well.
KSRTC's Kollur services
The Kollur services will restart from Thiruvananthapuram Central depot on December 3.
The bus will depart the state capital at 2 pm (Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Mangalore will be the route) and is scheduled to reach Kollur at 7.35 am.
The return trip is scheduled to begin at 2.30 pm and the arrival is expected at 6.35 am. The ticket rate is Rs 1,418. Tickets can be booked at keralartc or on 'Ente KSRTC' mobile application, informed KSRTC.
