Kochi: Singapore Airlines has announced resumption of passenger flights from Kochi starting November 30.
Three flights of the Airlines will operate weekly (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) from the Cochin International Airport (CIAL).
The flight will land in Kochi at 22:15 and depart at 23:05, said CIAL Managing Director S.Suhas in a press release on Sunday.
“We are extremely happy to have Singapore Airlines here after a 20-month long hiatus,” said Suhas.
The passengers arriving from Singapore have to take the RT-PCR test at the Kochi airport and undergo a 7-day home quarantine. On the 8th day of the arrival, they have to take one more test and continue quarantine for one more week if found positive, the airport authorities informed.
CIAL operates 185 weekly departures to the Middle East besides flights to the United Kingdom, Sri Lanka and Male. The airport said it expects to resume all other cancelled services by the end of the year.
