London: Air India is set to partially resume their services to the UK, which were suspended between April 24 and 30 following the rapid spread of COVID-19 in India and the travel ban imposed by Britain, from May 1. The airline has now announced a partial schedule from May 1 to 15 connecting Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru to the United Kingdom.

Delhi

Services from Delhi to Heathrow Airport in London have been scheduled on May 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, and 14.

Mumbai 

Meanwhile, the Mumbai – Heathrow flights would be operated on May 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13 and 15.

Bengaluru

Similarly, the Air India flights between Bengaluru and the UK are scheduled for May 5 and 12.

Things to note

Passengers who had booked tickets on these days earlier should either rebook or contact Air India to revalidate their tickets.

Meanwhile, fresh bookings could be done on these flights through the Air India website, mobile app or travel agents.

Air India would be making the travel arrangements based on the COVID-19 protocols effective in India and the UK and quarantine rules.

Keralites relieved

After Air India had temporarily cancelled its flights connecting Indian cities and the UK, travellers were forced to depend on the limited services of British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Vistara. 

With Air India announcing a partial resumption of services, lakhs of Indians in the UK, including people from Kerala, can be relieved.
