From Jan 1, 2024, tourists from across the world can enter Kenya without a visa. The country has made the move to reportedly improve its tourism industry and international ties. Kenyan President William Ruto announced the news recently and instead of visas, tourists will be let in through a digital platform. Earlier, he had announced his plan in Congo, while speaking at a conference in October. Ruto is also an advocate of visa-free travel within the African continent.

Tourists also often hail its nightlife, trekking trails, mountaineering options, its eclectic culture, and guided trips. The natural phenomenon known as the great migration of Masai Mara - which has millions of wildebeest aka gnu, zebra, and more thundering through the National Reserve between July and October followed by their predators, in search of greener pastures and water - is one of the most famous tourist attractions of Kenya. The animal herds travel around 800 km clockwise. There is a direct Indigo flight from Mumbai to Nairobi and back as well and flights can be booked now.
