Jio World Plaza, promoted by Reliance Industries Limited, has opened its doors to the public. Jio World Plazas is designed to be the most prominent destination for entertainment and a global shopping experience, according to Reliance. The mall opened on November 1.

Speaking about the launch of the project, Isha M. Ambani, director of Reliance Industries Limited, recently said, “Through Jio World Plaza, we plan to bring the top-most global brands to India and showcase the expertise and creative abilities behind leading Indian brands; our excellence, the novelty we offer, and better customer experience drive all over ventures.”

The plaza has been designed in such a way as to serve as an exclusive centre for retail sales, entertainment, and dining. The retail mix which is spread over 7,50,000 square feet at four levels, is a veritable list of 66 luxury brands. Brands such as Balenciaga, Giorgio Armani Café, Pottery Barn Kids, Samsung Experience Centre, EL&N Café, and Rimowa are notable new entrants to the Indian market. A number of global brands will make their debut in India by marking their presence at Jio World Plaza.

The plaza will also host the stores of prominent designers such as Manish Malhotra, Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, Rahul Mishra, Falguni Shane Peacock, and Ri Ritu Kumar. The architecture of the plaza was inspired by the lotus flower and other elements of nature, and took shape through the cooperation of the international architecture and design firm TVS of the United States and a Reliance team.
