The Gun Hill is a major tourist spot from where one can see the ethereal snow-capped Himalayas. From the Gun Hill one can also get a bird’s eye view of The Mall, the main shopping centre of Mussoorie. There are ropeway facilities to reach the Gun Hill from the road.
The delightful Kempty waterfall, which is 1,364m above sea level, is 17km away from the town centre. There is also a small resort, where one could stay overnight, near the waterfall. Lake Mist, a prominent tourist centre, is situated 5km before the Kempty waterfall.
The Municipal Garden, which is replete with flowers of all hues, is located 2km away from Mussoorie, and the sunset view from the garden is truly amazing.
Another major attraction of the hill station is the Mussoorie Lake. The lake is on the Mussoorie-Dehradun road and located 6km before Mussoorie. Boating in the lake is out of the world.
