Kozhikode: Water sports, art and cultural programs, food fests, drone light shows, and a kite festival—what more could you want for an exciting series of days during the Christmas holidays in Malabar? The much-awaited Season 4 of the Beypore International Water Fest, scheduled from December 27 to 29, promises a week full of entertainment and adventure. With thrilling performances and water-based competitions, this year’s fest is set to make waves. The event will be inaugurated by CM Pinarayi Vijayan and Malayalam actor-director Basil Joseph will be the chief guest. Mayor Beena Philip and MK Raghavan, Member of Parliament, will be the guests of honour.

On the inaugural day, singer-director Vineeth Sreenivasan will lead a musical performance, captivating the audience with his mesmerizing songs. The event will kick off with a bicycle rally carrying the flag from Kozhikode to Beypore Beach. Pre-events had already begun at Kozhikode Beach on December 13, featuring various tournaments. Organized by the Kerala Tourism Department, KTDC, and the District Administration, the fest started in 2021 and became a major success. During a press meet at Beypore, Tourism Minister PA Muhammed Riyas highlighted the fest's role in boosting tourism and bringing Kerala to the global stage for adventure sports. He added that the Kerala government is allocating Rs. 1 crore annually to support this event.
